Chapter HistorianKyndal BeckerMy name is Kendall Becker. I'm a freshman at Simms High School, and I am super excited to be this year's Simms FFA chapter reporter. I love working with my horses and doing leatherworking. I am president of the Prairie Stars 4-H club in Teton County and also involved in BPA at school. I am really good at shooting sports, and this year I had an awesome time competing at nationals in Nebraska. As chapter reporter, I look forward to documenting and sharing our chapter's achievements, activities, and growth throughout the year.

I plan on taking a year or two break after High school to make some money. In my past time, if I’m not doing homework you can catch me playing games on my computer, spending time outside, or riding around on the quad.

Chapter ParliamentarianMakailey petronekMy name is Michaela Potomac. I am a sophomore at Simms High School. I'm excited to be this year's sentinel for the Sims FFA chapter. I participate in volleyball, basketball, and tennis. I'm also a member of the Circle S 4-H club in Cascade County and have been raising pigs ever since I joined 4-H outside of school. FFA, I am passionate about my face after high school. I am considering attending a Bible college in Montana to pursue a degree in ministry and teach young children about the Bible.

Growing Leaders - Career Success
Chair: Colter Anderson
Summary: This program focuses on preparing students for successful careers in agriculture and related fields by offering leadership development opportunities, career exploration, and skill-building activities. Through workshops, contests, and mentorship, students gain valuable experience to enhance their professional growth and readiness for the workforce. Objectives: Provide workshops and training to develop career skills such as communication, teamwork, and professionalism Facilitate participation in career development events and contests Encourage SAE projects that build real-world job experience Connect students with industry mentors and potential employers Foster goal-setting and career planning among members
Strengthening Agriculture - Agricultural Literacy
Chair: Kyndal Becker
Summary: This activity aims to increase awareness and understanding of agriculture within the school and local community. Through educational programs, presentations, and community events, Simms FFA members promote knowledge about agricultural practices, careers, and the importance of agriculture in daily life. Objectives: Educate students and community members about agriculture and its role in society Conduct presentations and activities in local schools, community centers, and events Develop and distribute educational materials related to agriculture Encourage youth involvement and interest in agricultural careers Strengthen community support for local agriculture and FFA programs
Strengthening Agriculture - Chapter Recruitment
Chair: Elizabeth Plute
Summary: This activity focuses on actively recruiting new members to the Simms FFA chapter to strengthen the organization’s impact and ensure its continued success. Recruitment efforts include outreach events, school presentations, and engagement with freshmen and prospective members to highlight the benefits of FFA involvement. Objectives: Increase chapter membership each school year through targeted recruitment strategies Host informational sessions and presentations for students and parents Promote FFA opportunities and benefits throughout the school and community Engage current members to serve as recruitment ambassadors Build a strong, active membership base that supports chapter activities and leadership development
Strengthening Agriculture - Safety
Chair: Spence' Coble
Summary: This activity provides quality safety training opportunities—specifically the OSHA 10 certification—to students at Simms High School. Through this program, members gain essential knowledge about workplace safety, hazard recognition, and proper procedures, preparing them for careers in agriculture and related industries. Objectives: Offer OSHA 10 certification to students annually Educate members on agricultural and workplace safety practices Promote awareness of injury prevention and compliance standards Strengthen students’ readiness for SAE projects and ag-related employment Build partnerships with industry professionals and training providers
